Human Nature is dedicated to advancing the interdisciplinary investigation of the biological, social, and environmental factors that underlie human behavior. It focuses primarily on the functional unity in which these factors are continuously and mutually interactive. These include the evolutionary, biological, and sociological processes as they interact with human social behavior; the biological and demographic consequences of human history; the cross-cultural, cross-species, and historical perspectives on human behavior; and the relevance of a biosocial perspective to scientific, social, and policy issues. 2-Year Impact Factor: 1.895 (2015) Thomson-Reuters ScienceWatch Top Journals in Anthropology from 2001-2011 SCImago Journal and Country Rank (SJR) 2015: 1.459 14 out of 288 on the Anthropology list 54 out of 436 on the Art and Humanities (Misc) list 76 out of 529 on the Ecology, Evolution, Behavior and Systematics list 25 out of 418 on the Social Science (miscellaneous) list 71out of 951 on the Sociology and Political Science list SJR is a measure of the journal’s relative impact in its field, based on its number of citations and number of articles per publication year.
