Haematologica publishes peer-reviewed articles across all areas of experimental and clinical hematology. The journal is owned by a non-profit organization, the Ferrata Storti Foundation, and serves the scientific community strictly following the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE, www.icmje.org) recommendations on publication ethics policies for medical journals.
Haematologica was founded in 1920 by Adolfo Ferrata, and in 2005 merged with The Hematology Journal. Haematologica is the Official Organ of the following scientific societies:
